Haiti v Scotland

At *2am tomorrow morning, UK time, there will be an event so rare that most of us will never see again in our lifetimes and that probably even includes young Matty. Yes, Scotland are actually appearing in a World cup finals. I know that sounds incredible, but it’s true. I cannot over emphasise the rarity of this event. It is rarer than Halley’s comet and, I kid you not, even rarer than a Scotsman buying a round. Yes it’s bloody rare. It will be worth tuning in tomorrow because, not only is it very rare, it is also likely to be over very quickly, so you don’t want to miss it. In years to come, Matty will be boring his grand children and quite possibly his great, grand children with the story of how he watched Scotland’s final appearance in a World Cup final and how the calamatous events unfolded.

In view of this momentus occasion, I have decided to issue this covering article and will even be posting the scores and scorers as the game progresses, if I can spell all the Haitian names…
