Norwich v Liverpool
I always look forward to the cup games as it is the chance to see the youngsters coming through and means a return to the mad attacking style that Klopp first brought to the side. With both teams likely to play a few of their youngsters it should make for an enjoyable roller coaster ride with little at stake for either side.
There are two schools of thought about how Norwich came to be known as “the canaries”. It is either after Flemish immigrants known as “the strangers” who brought their birds with them to the area or it could be taken from the ancient Scottish saying “Norwich can nary win against Liverpool” I will leave you to decide 🙂
Team: The injury list includes Elliott, Thiago, Neco, Firmino and Trent though the last three are expected to be back in contention shortly. Obviously Klopp or Pep (he seems to be in charge for this cup) will ring the changes once again and will include some youngsters. It is difficult to know how far he will go and he might well go even further with playing the youngsters than my selection. Kelleher, Bradley, Phillips, Gomez, Tsimikas, Hendo, Jones, Ox, Gordon, Origi, Minamino.
