Liverpool vs Lycestersurelynot

Thank goodness the International break is over though a a result we have lost both Salah and Hendo 😉 Fortunately, we have a much better squad these days and I am confident will still give Leicester, who have a few long term injuries themselves, a tough game and once again emerge as the winners.

I must just take a moment here to thank Brendan “Humble” Rodgers for providing the photos for this match day article though as he is keen to point out the match is not just all about him.

Mr. Rodgers has dismissed suggestions that Leicester’s success is all down to his own acclaimed coaching ability or even his World renowned management skills and tactical excellence. No I’ve not heard anyone else saying that either but as he points out, the real credit for their success must go to “the boys” who have won their matches because they have followed his instructions to the letter. By implication, of course, where they have lost it’s because they haven’t followed his instructions. I will end this tribute article to the mighty Bren though with another Yoda style quote. When asked about Leicester’s chances if winning the League, he said “We’ve only played eight games. We want to keep the humility”. Quite, Bren, quite! That’s the reason we all love you so much x

Team: Alisson, Williams, Fab, Matip, Robbo, Thiago, Gini, Keita, Mane, Firmino, Jota. I am expecting Robbo to be fit enough to start and am hoping that both Fab and Thiago will be able to start too. If not we will have to play Serena at CB and possibly Tom in midfield (Williams and Jones). Latest reports suggest Thiago may not be ready to start. If so it’s a toss up between Milner and Jones. I will say Jones with Milner replacing him in the second half but on the other hand we might need Milner’s experience to start with and have Jones coming on later.
