Liverpool v Toulouse
I like the look of Toulouse. It seems like a pretty little City from the picture above. The team was promoted back into the top flight in 2022 and went on to win the cup in 2023 for only the second time in their history. It’s the only trophy they’ve ever won . The first time being in 1957. Their home kit is violet shorts and white shirts but at Anfield they will probably be wearing their away kit which is all black. I just hope they live up to their name and have come to lose (geddit?) Ok I’ll get my coat.
Our team will be interesting as I think a few key players will be rested. I am going for something like this: Kelleher, Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Chambers, Elliott, Jones, Endo, Gakpo, Nunez, Jota. That still leaves plenty to come off the bench if needed. Of course, they might decide to continue to hold Endo back a bit longer and wait for an important game to unleash him from the start and surprise the enemy when it really matters……
