Elation, deflation or something else?

Its early doors in the season but what shall we take out of our start?

VAR has once again given us more to do this season than it was intended to do. There is no guarantee we would have beaten Spuds but hey, we would have had a better chance if the incompetent idiots had actually called the Diaz goal what it was, on side. The match itself would have taken a completely different route, if only the idiots behind VAR actually watch the match they are supposed to be monitoring.

VAR is one thing but there are many factors that do not rely on VAR, such as our dreadful 2nd half versus Chavs. That 2nd half was not good, to be polite.

The Brighton match too wasn’t especially heart warming but hey, we got a point from that one. Lucky to draw? Unlucky not to win? When we were 2-1 up we could have sealed it, but that’s football.

Saudi United away was a proper snatch and grab n I’m not gonna lie, I proper ( almost ) wet my pants when that match was over.

Cheats haven’t been firing on all cylinders either, so do we view it as opportunities missed or opportunity still there to address as the weeks and months unfold? Hard to tell but we’ve had a better start than last season whereas Cheats not quite so good. Still a long way to go though.

Do we need to worry about the Arse? Do we view Spuds’ start to the season as a blip, a bit of luck, or do we view them as contenders?

Saudi United haven’t really set the scene on fire so far this season. They’re obviously juggling CL footy with the PL campaign, or is it just the fact they’re not very good? Which brings me to my next point. Chavs, ya gotta hand it to them, they sure as hell give the rest of the division a proper giggle. 1 billion £ spent last season just to be shite. That Boehly fella went for it again in the summer…….and yes, they’re still shite.

Have the BlueShite run out of toilet paper to save their sorry arse? Will they be relegated this season for being utterly shite? I do very much hope so.

The SkipRats will get a mention only because it’s so much fun laughing at them, turds.

Anyway, how do you believe our early season form has been? Szobo has been a revelation thus far. I didn’t expect him to be this good.

Macca is playing out of his favoured position so it’s difficult to judge him yet Endo is a conundrum that I can’t fathom. One bright spark for me is Jarell Quansah. We cried and cried for a CB, myself included but what a player we’ve found here and he was already with us. From the beginning of preseason Oscar and I were singing this lads praises. He’s just getting better and better with every opportunity he receives.

I’ll wind this up now before I start fooking swearing.

How do you feel our season has begun and what do you hope we achieve this season?

Is it transitional ? Or is it a case of we’re already ready to challenge for the top honours?
