Liverpool v Manchester United
For many this is the big one, bigger than Everton and still bigger even than United’s noisy neighbours. They’re the games we all look for when the fixtures are announced.
After last year not many pundits would have said that at this stage of the season we’d be top of the league with United 10 points back. Now everyone is saying we are the favourites to win this game and United with all their missing players don’t stand a chance. That makes me nervous. I much prefer to be the underdog . There are the vagaries of VAR and refreeing and we still have our issues in defence and midfield with Robbo and MacAllister missing whilst United have been hugely boosted by the absence of Maguire and Fernandes. We’re doomed😁
