Chelsea vs Liverpool U/23s?

The following picture exclusive to 4K © of the team training at Melwood in preparation for the Chelsea game on Tuesday night might just provide a clue to the type of team Klopp will play.

A bit of team building there from the two number sevens

I had a rather strange request from one of our regular readers for another picture of a pair of great tits. I can’t honestly remember featuring any ornithological pictures previously but anyway I feel i need to encourage this sudden and frankly surprising interest in the higher things in life so here it is.

Actually reading the request again he wasn’t asking for a another picture of a pair of great tits but another picture of a great pair of…….

Chelsea are struggling for form recently and their CL place is by no means safe from the chasing pack of Wolves, Manu, Sheff Utd and even Spurs. They may wish to save their energy for the League or might see “the Cup” as a welcome distraction and a chance to go on and secure a trophy under Frank Lampard in his first season as their manager. Similarly, Liverpool have looked a bit lacklustre recently and might wish to focus on their defence of the Champions League but again there is the chance of yet another trophy and to banish all thoughts of the Watford game.

It might well all come down to team selection for both sides. Do they go with the U23s, the U23s with some fringe first teamers or mainly the first team. Until we see the team sheets it will impossible to predict exactly how many goals liverpool will win by.

I feel for the U23s who got us here but would like to see a fairly strong team. I would still like to see Adrian, Elliot and Jones at least starting the game with Mini and Milner in there as well and Gomez back if the swelling has gone down 😉 The rumour is he blocked a shot from TAA with a delicate part of his body. I would put out a strong bench though to provide options. After all there is another trophy and a day out for the fans in May at stake.
