A Ramble or a Muse, that’s the question, apparently.
The title says it all really.
As you all know I do enjoy a good ramble, no doubt due to the fact I’ve got no fooking idea wtf I’m on about, but you already know that.
We had some fantastic conversation on Jocks post match thread, plenty of discussion on things relating to all kinds of weird and wonderful stuff, such as Alan and his five worded name for a player, which I found funnily offensive…or offensively funny, or perhaps just plain funny.
Our resident wonderful lady, Ginge spoke about Covid, breathing and other stuff.
Many of you gave her such wonderful advice, such as Mike suggesting she needs to see a doctor, but the best advice was from Soop, eat Spinach n some other thing I can’t actually remember….oh, I remember it was tomatoes. Soop mentioned a price of in think £1.70 a kilo for spinach ( fook knows what the tomatoes cost ) n Ginge thanked him n said she can buy that shit in her village for 30 Rupees, which if memory serves is about 25 friggin p. 25p for those that don’t swear.
I digress ( well it is a ramble/ muse after all fffs ).
The beauty of subscribing to Soops bongs ( no need to go out n look for a dealer, they arrive at your door, not that I’d know, obviously ) Is that we can laugh at all kinds weird stuff such as…….?…………? Hang on I’ll remember in a minute….
Finchy mentioned we need new blood, Matty ( or whatever the fook he calls himself these days😀) agreed.
Well let’s discuss.
This might become kinda long from here on in, ooops in advance coz I’ve got no idea what shite I’ll type.
Liverpool FC are probably in the greatest shape in our entire history.
Other “teams” have moved the goalposts somewhat by investing mega millions in their “clubs” well hey ho, the plastic flag wavers are happy, but as true supporters of their club and the ethos of building a club and watching it progressively grow are they happy with instant success that has nothing to do with the Manager, coaching, training into a evolving team etc?
If they are then I pity them as true supporters. I have more respect for Fleetwood.( Randomly picked that one out of the air for no apparent reason ).
We all want new additions to our club, we hope this close season we will add to what is required.
Some noobs on another site profess we’ve not invested in players since 2017 or 18, not really arsed what year they want to pick on. They do need to check out who we’ve signed n stop being dickheads.
Apart from the Oilers, Gangsters and Human rights abusers we are punching as hard as they are even with lighter gloves, which shows how good we are coached.
To go back to signings and the academy.
As Jock mentioned not many actually make it at their parent club, be it Liverpool, Chavs, Cheats or any other club. That’s life, one takes chances but it’s no garden of roses for all.
Jock also mentioned that most that don’t make it here go on to find a career at the level they are capable of influencing.
Cameron Brannagan is one lad I had high hopes for. I really believed he had it in him to make his mark with us. That wasn’t to be. He moved on to Oxford United, I’m not sure if he’s still there.
There are plenty of players with potential that have moved on even in recent years such as Brewster, Solanki, Wilson ( to a lesser degree ).
It’s a lottery I suppose on who will make it and who won’t.
I think it’s cast in stone Elliot will be the next big thing but what about Bradley, Morton, Gordon or even Jones? I bring Jones into the equation only because of the fact has he lost his way? His spark? It’s a question not an answer.
Players such as Taki? Does he have a future?
Does Origi?
Does OX?
Does Keita warrant more time after 4 years? His contract demands we’re kinda pathetic but hey.
We do need to invest in the team in the summer. This January window? Nah we don’t “Need” to but if we picked up a proper player this month then that’s all well and good.
Do we go all out for Bellingham in July?
Do we nick Baps on a free?
I know which player I’d prefer.
The thing is, Covid has derailed our plans that we had, or might have had during the winter of 2020. Are those plans abandoned, put on hold or realigned?
I’d suggest the latter.

This club is in arguably the best place structurally it’s ever been in throughout its entire history.
We’ve got state of the art training facilities. We’ve got a Stadium fit for Kings.
We are doing fine.
We are the only club that has challenged the money loaded Oilers in recent history.
Be proud of your club.

To Jock, we all hope Sid is going to be fine and let us all know Tuesday how the vets appointment went.
To GDoc, we are so glad your dear lady escaped the car crash unharmed. Fook the car, you can buy another one.
