Peace and Reconciliation.

Like most people on the site, I have been saddened by some of the personal attacks on Slot. I don’t think he has deliberately decided to mismanage the players, anymore than FSG or H&E decided to deliberately appoint the wrong type of manager for the club and buy players that are injury prone, or not up to standard. Equally, I doubt the players have thrown in the towel and suddenly and collectively decided that a comfortable life is better than reaching for the pinnacle of their profession and winning more silverware.

There has been a lot of unfortunate things that have come together to create the perfect shitstorm and what is needed now is not more navel gazing and recriminations, but a coming together and support for the new manager (whoever she might be) and the team, going forward. It is fine to criticise, based on facts and opinions, that is what these sites are all about, but I feel we should all resist the temptation to resort to personal attacks and insults (unless it’s Salah 😇)
