Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs

I think I can guess moaning Mo’s tactics in this game. He will start with five forwards, four midfielders and just the one defender and go for all out attack. The aim will be to throw caution to the wind and give the crowd a thrilling entertaining game they will remember for years to come. On the other hand…….

Now that I have woken from dreamland, we all know what Mo will try to do. He will play it tight, park the bus, waste time, frustrate the players and fans, hope to nick a goal and then shut up shop with the hope they can hit us on the break. Klopp will know that and hope that our pressing game will pin them back and that our forwards can produce a moment of magic to score early. This will force Spurs to come out more and we can cut them through them to seal a win to take us back to the top of the table. I know which game I want to see.

Mourinho has been taking the mickey again claiming that Liverpool’s injury crisis is nothing unusual. The only bit of sense he came out with is that we still have a very good team despite the carnage. On the other hand Spurs themselves will be without their top scorer following the news that Harry Kane’s shirt has been inducted into the FA’s hall of fame and is now on display in a frame.

The team really picks itself mainly because we have so few fit players. I am really hoping Matip is fit to play otherwise Nat Phillips will have to come in. I am also hoping that Ox gets some minutes and Keita too as subs, But the team to start is: Alisson, TAA, Matip, Fab, Robbo, Hendo, Gini, Jones, Mane, Firmino, Salah.
