Liverpool vs Bournemouth

This is our opportunity to get right back on that bike and get some form ahead of the crunch game against Atletico on Wednesday. Bournemouth are known as the Cherries and are ready and ripe for picking and in turn we should expect to pick up another three valuable points towards securing the Premier League title that rightfully belongs to us.

The Cherries got their nickname the Cherries either from the bright cherry red shirts they used to wear (they now wear cherry red and black stripes) or more likely because there were cherry trees in the fields surrounding their ground, Dean Court. This is according to their local paper which is also called the Echo, echo though for reasons known only to themselves they have chosen to call it the Bournemouth Echo rather than the Liverpool Echo. Mmmm cherries.

It will be Salah’s 100th appearance for Liverpool (if he isn’t injured too) and he has scored just the 69 goals – selfish slacker;-)

I thought Klopp was a bit reluctant to answer questions about the Coronavirus which makes me think he knows something we don’t and doesn’t want to panic us all. Just to be on the safe side I went shopping for some toilet rolls in my local Freshco’s but found there had been a run on them (sorry). There was just one pack left on the shelf and another (?) old woman had spotted them and was trying to get them into her trolly. She had a surprisingly strong grip for someone of her age but luckily for me she was somewhat hampered by her wheelchair and eventually I managed to wrestle them off her.

The Cherries have lost 8 out of the last 9 away matches. They have 27 points in 28 matches which is their lowest tally at this stage of a premiership campaign. In the last 17 matches they have only had one clean sheet (winning 1-0 against Chelsea). In short, they are struggling with form and injuries and are in the bottom three but then so were Watford;-/ But enough of those kind of thoughts we must think onwards and Kloppwards and I fully expect a 4-0 warm up for Atletico.

Team: Adrian, Alisson, TAA, Gomez, VVD, Robbo, Fab, Ox, Gini. Mane,. Firmino, Salah. I think it is time we gave Adrian another run in the team and give Alisson a bit of a rest. I am also going for Ox over Milner in midfield because we should be on the front foot and he brings a bit more pace into the midfield in the continued absence of Hendo.
