Liverpool FC and My Magic Wand

I have been a fan for over 4 decades now,, which sucks as I wish I was younger.. Anyway I have seen the highs and lows but not always up close because of the distances involved..

I can remember watching highlights weekly on the BBC football show and sitting up every year for the FA cup final live and that was all the overseas football we got for decades..

Then came the nights falling in bed late on Saturdays during the nineties and listening to match of the week on the radio which was generally a Liverpool game..

Not sure I could at the time even remember the scores at the end as I used that day to consume copious amounts of alcohol..

As a fan from so far away we are blessed with today’s technology but often take it for granted a sign of the times I guess.

. As an Aussie it is often difficult to find people to talk football with, be it home or abroad so I really appreciate the company of you all..

Now for my take: Right now as such the team is facing up to the worst run of form I have seen and It is frustrating even infuriating at times ..

The behaviour of many fans towards Klopp and some of our great servants is disgraceful it shows a general lack of class and a bloody short memory.. It ain’t so long ago we broke the deadlock and won the title and were also champions of the world not too bad is it, I bet none of you seen this coming 5 years ago as I certainly did not..

Not just Klopp and the players but our owners played a tremendous part in all this as well as saving us from administration and do not kid yourselves lads the buyers were not lining up..

So to our problem ATM well we are not getting relegated Europe looks gone even Europa could be a dream so where is the positive??

I think it does give us the opportunity to slim the squad for a season play the kids in the domestic cups and get our minds set on getting what is rightfully ours back the title..

My magic wand? Well if I was to be able wave it goes like this out Shaq, Wilson, Tsimikas, Matip, Grujic, Ox, Milner, Origi and of course Gini with Keita a big maybe..

Who to buy? Well my belief that England have an abundance of young talent so here goes Aarons from Norwich right back who can also play left handy when Robbo’s too pissed to play,

Bellingham from Dortmund this kid will be Englands best mid for a decade ..

Konate from Liepzig or keep Kabak as he is still only 20 a mere baby for a centre half who should be playing alongside an experienced partner..

Michael Olise from Reading has quality written all over him he is possibly the best player in England not to have played EPL also qualifies as homegrown and can choose up to 4 nations to represent..

A  striker. Well Haaland sounds good but waaay too dear even for my imagination.. So I have opted for my own gem Rafael Leao 6 foot 2 and 22 years of age draws comparisons to Mbappe in style but at a small fraction of the cost and he plays for AC Milan…

Last and not least Rice from West Ham will add the class needed  to replace our departed players he like the others has age on his side ..

So there we waved the wand and poof a puff of smoke and all is good,,
