Karlsruher v Liverpool…PSF.

After longing for last season to end the new season is almost upon us. We hope, we wish for a more solid team than we witnessed for large swaves of last season.

Whilst we ponder out goings and incomings the lads over in Germany are readying themselves for their next battle. We welcome Mac Allister and also Szobo. They will add to our midfield some much needed legs and different ideas too.

This early evening we take on Karlsruher from the German 2nd tier. Based in Karlsruhe, BADEN-WURTTEMBERG.

They were German Champions in 1909 and have also won the DFB Pokal in 1955 and 1956. They’ve won the Intertoto cup in 1996, which remains their last trophy.

Full name Karlsruher Sport club Muhlburg Phoenix e. V. Founded in 1894.

This will be their first season in their shiny new stadium and what better way to open it than by playing our beloved Liverpool.

This coming season is one of both anticipation and the unknown. The squad today will no doubt not resemble the squad that kicks off away at Chavs on August 13. The team fielded this evening will undoubtedly harness youth and fringe players, no different to any other pre season but hopefully we’ll see some minutes from our two new lads.

A good pre season can only help confidence and will to some degree allow us to witness what shape the gaffa has in mind for the rigours that will follow during the next 10 months.

Pre season is all about fitness and sharpness, gelling and aquanting the new players with the established LFC players.

Lets see what happens on this topsy turvy journey in 23/24.

Footy is back. It begins here and now.

WE ARE LIVERPOOL!
