Christmas Greetings

Well what a year it’s been, full of huge highs and equally low lows. On the one hand we regained our League title but on the other we had Covid. All we can wish for in 2021 is much more of the former and a lot less of the latter.

The year end also coincides with the Anniversary of the formation of 4KK. The site was set up last December by DaBandit, Jock and myself and the first article was the match thread for Liverpool vs Everton in early January (we won 1-0 !). When we set up the site the aim was to create “a relaxed, chilled, pub style home for LFC Supporters from the 4 corners of the world”. After a difficult birth and a few teething problems we have now found our feet and after a year have achieved exactly what we set out to do. To continue the baby theme, potty training is a work in progress…..

As you will see, I have put in some pictures of the Liverpool players and manager visiting Alder Hey Children’s hospital. The pictures are actually from previous years but the club kept up its commitment to the Children this year by sending gifts and arranging a virtual visit. It is these links with the community and the family atmosphere of the club which is as important as the success on the field. For me it’s always been my family first and LFC a close second.

When we set up the site we thought we might just end up with the three of us chewing the cud and discussing Liverpool games but instead we quickly gained a small but loyal band of posters who have stuck with us through thick and thin and one or two who we wish hadn’t (joke) 😉 . Lately and through a fortunate twist of fate, we have been joined by 4everRed and his merry men who have lifted spirits and given the site a very welcome boost. I was going to namecheck a number of other posters but I didn’t want to miss anyone out by mistake and people contribute to the site in different ways. This ranges from the regular posters, the occasional visitors from other sites, those who just take part in the prediction leagues right through to those who just look in from time to time but are not ready to or choose not to post. All are very welcome and you are the reason the site has gone from strength to strength. So thanks to you all and your individual contributions.

This is also a time for reflection when our thoughts turn to those who are no longer with us. As the year draws to a close, we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a much happier, prosperous and even more successful New Year. So let’s raise a glass to one and all. Cheers and YNWA.
